A recessed handle for sliding doors

Dauby extends its hardware range to sliding doors. This handle is recessed into the door leaf: nothing protrudes, allowing the door to slide completely into the wall. Its design is understated, but casting natural materials gives each piece its own distinctive texture. It is suitable for both single and double sliding doors.

Care

Dauby bronze is a living material: its colour deepens over time, while areas touched by hand polish themselves naturally. The manufacturer calls this a living finish and recommends letting it develop — no maintenance is needed. Only the black finish, aged iron, is made of iron and lacquered: if the lacquer is damaged, it can be touched up with RAL 9005. To restore the original shine of a bronze finish, a soft cloth and copper or silver polish are all you need. Never use an abrasive cleaner.
