A concept of luxury window handle made from concrete

A concept born from the desire to use an unconventional material to make handles: concrete. The almost ancestral production recalls the ancient forging technique with moulds and casting of a solid body: the final aesthetic result of the Juno design window handle is of great visual impact, but at the same time the design is very clean and minimalist. Winner of the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2017.

The Juno window handle was first presented at Milano Design Week in 2017 and has been a unique model of its kind for several years. This window handle is intended for demanding customers looking for a touch of exclusivity.

The Italian designer Alessandro Dubini

An essentiality further emphasised by the project of designer Alessandro Dubini who has taken care of every aspect: the rose, which completes the composition, is hidden by the structure of the handle itself, now designed wider to give a slim profile. The materiality of concrete seems almost to disappear thanks to nanotechnological treatments, which make it homogeneous to the eye and touch, as if it were a comfortable and ductile material. The experimentation carried out by Mandelli represents the added value of a company that always looks to the future with new concepts, designs and materials, to be applied to the main product of its production, the handle.

New aesthetic values and new performances are being studied: hence Juno, whose name is inspired by the word "moon" and Juno, a deity from Roman mythology linked to the lunar cycle, and perhaps also to the appearance of the lunar surface which recalls the effect of this new concrete handle.
