Sky blue and clouds create a late-afternoon feel. The message makes a playful threat, making it far more effective than a bossy sign: children and adults understand it straight away, and no one takes offence. This is the side to display during a baby’s nap, a lie-in, a rest after a short night or sleep after a night shift.

Soft yellow and very pale green, with smiling flowers. The sign announces that the sleeper is awake and the room is accessible again. It’s a detail that matters in a shared home: there’s no need to open the door a crack to check whether someone is still asleep.

How the two sides work together

Together, the two sides tell a little story, from sleep to the return of good spirits. Rather than displaying a permanent instruction, the door follows the room’s rhythm. And the change from blue to yellow is clear at a glance from the end of the corridor, even before you read the words.

Size and material

The 72 mm round opening slips around the lever handle without any need to force it — useful when turning the sign over beside someone who is asleep. The rigid card, no more than 0.5 mm thick, makes no plastic rustling sound, while the 140 × 275 mm size keeps the message legible from the other end of the corridor.
