A porcelain wall hook designed by Anne Black

Anne Black is a Danish ceramicist based in Copenhagen. She designed this model in 2007, and it is handmade in the workshop she founded in 2005 with the Hang family in Bat Trang, a pottery village near Hanoi, Vietnam. Each piece is cast, glazed or coloured and fired individually: slight variations in shade are part of its charm.

The matt finish

There is no glaze here: the porcelain is coloured throughout and then fired unglazed. Each piece has a soft, matt, slightly velvety feel, and its colour cannot chip off because it runs through the material.

13 colours

Choose from 13 shades: white, pearl grey, black, taupe brown, putty, pale yellow, coral red, pale pink, sea green, jade, light blue, periwinkle blue and royal blue.

• XS: 22 × 20 mm

• XL: Ø 85 mm, height 50 mm

Fixings

For XS, S and M, fixings for both uses are supplied: an M5 × 25 mm screw for furniture, and a screw and wall plug for wall mounting. For L and XL, only the wall fixings (screw and wall plug) are supplied.

Knob or hook

In a hallway, bathroom or child’s bedroom, this hook holds a coat, bag or towel. The same design can also be fitted to furniture: it is available as a furniture knob.
