Satin nickel or matt chrome?
Both are satin greys, but nickel has a slightly yellow undertone, while chrome has a blue one. You can see the difference side by side; separately, it is barely noticeable. If your window already has a handle, the safest choice is to match its finish rather than look for something close.
Replacing a window handle
You can replace it without removing the window sash: turn the screw cover, undo the screws, remove the old handle and its square spindle, then fit the new one. Allow around ten minutes per window. The only thing to check is the spindle length: it must pass through the full thickness of the sash to reach the locking mechanism.
