Aprile, also known as AprileHandles, is a Polish brand specialising in door handles. Since its beginnings in Poland, it has built a strong reputation among architects and private customers alike, thanks to an extensive catalogue, consistently high quality standards and attentive service.
Designed in Poland
Aprile models are designed and developed in Poland: choice of forms, definition of escutcheons, selection of finishes, technical specifications, quality control and packaging. The SLIM 7 mm and SUPER SLIM 5 mm escutcheons — round, square, squircle or rectangular — are the brand's signature, and they come with matching function escutcheons.
Tested materials and endurance
Handles are made from ZnAl or brass depending on the model, materials chosen for their resistance to everyday wear. They are tested at load category 4 and durability class 7 of the European standard EN 1906, equating to 200,000 opening cycles. PVD finishes are checked for resistance to abrasion and corrosion.

Models designed by Polish designers
Aprile works with Polish designers. Jan Kochański, a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, has received the Wallpaper* Design Award, the Must Have Łódź Design and the Mazda Design, and was named Designer of the Year 2020 at the Arena Design fair in Poznań. Maja Ganszyniec, born in Silesia, studied interior decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków before obtaining a design degree from the Royal College of Art in London in 2008. Tomek Rygalik, Doctor of Arts, studied architecture at the Technical University of Łódź and then industrial design at the Pratt Institute in New York. He runs a design studio and teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

Jan Kochański
Award winner: Wallpaper* Design Award, Must Have Łódź Design and Mazda Design, Designer of the Year 2020 at the international Arena Design Fair in Poznań. Lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His works have been exhibited in Milan, Frankfurt, Cologne, London, Leipzig, Vienna, Paris, Budapest, Warsaw, Poznań and Łódź.
Maja Ganszyniec
A designer with a holistic approach to the design process. Born in Silesia, she studied interior decoration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków before obtaining a design degree from the Royal College of Art in London in 2008.
Tomek Rygalik
Designer, lecturer, exhibition curator and Doctor of Arts. He studied architecture at the Technical University of Łódź, then industrial design at the Pratt Institute in New York. A graduate of the Royal College of Art in London in 2005, he went on to become a researcher within its research and development team. He runs a design studio and leads the master's degree course in the design faculty of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
