Polish brand from Warsaw: furniture knobs and handles made in Poland, in small batches
Plankton: Polish decorative hardware, in small batches
About Plankton
A Polish brand based in Warsaw
Plankton was created by Ola Munzar-Sobolewska, an interior architect who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, and Grzegorz Sobolewski. The brand defines itself as small living things for the home, conceived and then crafted by Polish artisans in small batches.
Seven families of materials
The catalogue is organised into seven families: brass, copper, other metals, concrete, terrazzo, natural leather and Piñatex pineapple leather. Manufacturing is entrusted to specialist Polish craftsmen — blacksmiths or sheet metal workers — with respect for raw materials, offcuts being reused. The referenced finishes are brushed brass, polished brass, polished copper, chrome, stainless steel, black and white.
Furniture knobs and handles
The brand distinguishes between knobs, fixed by a single hole, small and discreet, and handles, fixed by two holes, larger and easier to grip. The INK, LUCIOLA, KIRKE and MELUZYNA collections are available in both formats; ECLIPSE, OBOL, NENU and FING are among the knobs, PIN-PIN and PINA-PINA among the handles. The brand received the Must Have 2017 award at the Łódź Design Festival and was a finalist in the Good Design competition in 2018 and 2023.
Distributed by Millapoignees
Millapoignees is an official retailer of the Plankton brand. We visit their workshop, alongside the craftsmen who shape each piece. Our advisers check every order to ensure consistency of finishes between the handle, its escutcheon and its accessories, and remain reachable both before and after purchase.
