Anti-Covid-19 Door Handle

The WHO emphasises the importance of washing your hands and not touching your face, given the possibility of virus transmission from hands to mouth, nose or eyes. This is why, since the start of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have been gaining dexterity in opening doors with our elbows, forearms, feet, ... or by using objects. We try by all possible means to open or close a door without touching it with our hands. This simple gesture has become a headache and a source of anxiety because touching a handle is like shaking hands with dozens of strangers. We present the anti-Covid-19 door handle, Made in France, created in partnership with 3D Arc West. It allows you to open and close the door with your forearm rather than with your hand. This part of the body being covered with clothing, it is much less likely to spread the virus than hands.

It is made from PETG, a material used in 3D printing. It is characterised by functionality very similar to ABS (good temperature resistance, durability, strength). It is an amorphous plastic that is 100% recyclable. This copolyester is capable of withstanding high tensile stresses and has high chemical resistance.

The handle can be installed in just a few minutes on most doors.
