Choosing the right model
First measure the distance between the wall and the open door, then the height at which the handle would hit. A stop that’s too short lets the handle touch the wall; one that’s too long prevents the door from opening fully.
With or without a magnet?
A magnetic model holds the door open, which is useful in a hallway or kitchen. A standard model simply cushions the impact: that’s enough for a bedroom, where you want to close the door without effort.
