A porcelain furniture knob designed by Anne Black

Anne Black is a Danish ceramicist based in Copenhagen. She designed this model in 2007, and it is handmade in the workshop she founded in 2005 with the Hang family in Bat Trang, the pottery village near Hanoi, Vietnam. Each piece is individually cast, glazed or coloured, and fired: slight variations in shade are part of its charm.

The Flower finish

The piece is made of white glazed porcelain, decorated on top with a flower formed from small coloured dots and fired into the glaze: a delicate motif that will not rub off.

10 colours

Choice of 10 shades: black, slate grey, cherry red, coral orange, sunshine yellow, candy pink, plum, meadow green, light blue and midnight blue.

• S: Ø 30 mm, height 30 mm
• M: Ø 45 mm, height 30 mm

Fixings

Both sets of fixings are supplied: an M5 × 25 mm screw for furniture, and a screw and wall plug for the wall.

Knob or hook

On a chest of drawers, sideboard, wardrobe or kitchen cabinet, this knob adds a touch of handcrafted colour. The same design can also be fixed to the wall to hang a bag, coat or tea towel: it is available as a wall hook.
