Window handle in raw bronze - Pure

THE BENEFITS OF THE WINDOW HANDLE

This window handle can be found in Brussels homes dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was itself inspired by the Chemin de Fer model, specially designed in 1883 for the luxurious dining cars of the Orient Express. The “T” model.

Care

Dauby bronze is a living material: its colour deepens over time, while the areas touched by hand polish themselves naturally. The manufacturer calls this a living finish and recommends letting it develop – no maintenance is needed. Only the black finish is made of lacquered iron: if the lacquer is damaged, it can be touched up with RAL 9005. To restore the original shine of a bronze finish, a soft cloth and copper or silver polish are all you need. Never use an abrasive cleaner.
