How to Clean a Glass Handle

Would you like to know how to clean your beautiful glass handles? You don't know how to maintain and enhance this beautiful material. It's important to know that cleaning glass requires know-how, but above all a lot of care. Without further ado, here are the answers to your questions.

Powerful duo: soapy water and a natural sea sponge

It takes very little to scratch glass, so you must be very careful when cleaning it. To ensure you have the right cleaning tools to hand, it is advisable to use a natural sea sponge and a little washing-up liquid or black soap.

It's worth knowing that natural sea sponge has the perfect softness to care for your glass objects during cleaning. Combined with a mixture of water and washing-up liquid, all the dirt on your glass handles will soon disappear.

White vinegar, the remedy against dirt

White vinegar has many virtues when it comes to household cleaning. It also remains relevant for maintaining your handles and other glass objects. To do this, here is our advice:

  • Wipe a cloth or sponge moistened with warm water over the glass to remove as much dust and dirt as possible.
  • Soak a new cloth in a mixture of white vinegar/water, and clean your handles.
  • You can add a little essential oil to the mixture to eliminate the vinegar smell whilst adding disinfectant properties.
  • Wipe your handles with a new, slightly damp cloth
  • Dry with a soft, dry cloth to finish.

Fight dirt on your glass handles with potato

Although this is an old-fashioned trick that works well for making glass shine, there's the potato method.

  • Cut a potato in half and polish the entire surface of your glass handles.
  • Clean the glass part with warm soapy water
  • Rinse with warm water to finish.

No more fingerprints on your glass handles with a little ammonia

  • Create a solution based on ammonia (a few drops) and water.
  • Soak a soft cloth in this solution and thoroughly clean all surfaces of the glass handle, paying particular attention to fingerprints.
  • Dry with a new, clean, dry cloth.

Lemon juice, a simple but effective solution

Are you looking for a solution to remove stains from your glass handles? Here's how:

  • Mix lemon juice and a little table salt in a container;
  • Pour this solution onto your glass handles and leave to act for several hours. If you can remove the handles from your doors and soak them in our mixture, this would be ideal for more effective cleaning.
  • Rinse the glass handles with warm water and wipe with a soft cloth.
