Which rose should I choose for my door handle? Key L, key "i" or privacy lock? Kezako!

How do I choose the right rose for my handles?

On our website www.millahandles.fr, the choice of roses is made at the bottom of each product page or via a dropdown list.

The handle and the rose must come from the same factory, so that everything fits perfectly: hole, size, thickness and colour.

No need to panic if you are unsure: choose what seems right to you. We check every order to ensure the handle and rose are perfectly matched.

What types of roses are there?

There are 3 types of roses, depending on the lock type:

  1. Room key (L): for interior doors. Oval-shaped hole.
  2. Cylinder (key "i"): for front doors. A small letter "i"-shaped hole, designed for a European cylinder.
  3. Privacy lock: for WC or bathroom. Locks with a button, which can be released from the outside in an emergency.

How do I know what type of lock I have in my door?

If your door is fitted with a lock integrated into the thickness of the door (which is the case for the majority of modern doors), simply look at the shape of the hole in the lock.

Which rose should I choose depending on my lock?

  1. Oval → room key rose (L)
  2. Small letter "i" shape / cylinder → cylinder rose (key i)
  3. Square only, like the one on the handle → privacy lock rose

When purchasing, do I need to worry about accessories (screws, spindles, squares)?

No, you simply need to choose the number of pairs of handles and the roses you need. We take care of the rest!
