About DOT Manufacture
A workshop born in 2015
DOT Manufacture is a Polish workshop founded in 2015 by artists who wanted to offer an alternative to industrial furniture knobs. Everything is made in Poland. Each piece is crafted by hand by a team of artisans, in small batches or as bespoke projects: the very opposite of mass production.
Materials that tell a story
Wood first — oak, ash or maple, turned and oiled; then jewellery enamel, fired on metal for deep, lasting colours; and finally glass, ceramic, brass and steel. These materials demand traditional techniques, and that is what sets a DOT handle apart from all the others.
Knobs, handles and coat hooks
Round or half-moon knobs, solid wood furniture handles, wall-mounted coat hooks to be fitted in a row or a constellation: the collection suits a Scandinavian kitchen just as well as a child's bedroom or a dressing room. Some models are hand-painted or hand-enamelled, with the small variations that make each piece unique.
