Which rosette should I choose for my door handle? L key, "i" key or bathroom lock? Explained!

How do I choose the right rosette for my handles?

On our website www.millapoignees.fr, rosettes are selected at the bottom of each product page or via a drop-down list.

The handle and rosette must come from the same factory, so that everything fits perfectly: hole, size, thickness and colour.

Don't panic if you're unsure: choose what seems right to you. We check every order to ensure the handle and rosette are properly matched.

What types of rosettes are there?

There are 3 types of rosettes, depending on the lock type:

  1. Bathroom lock (L): for interior doors. Oval-shaped keyhole.
  2. Cylinder (key "i"): for entrance doors. Keyhole shaped like a small letter "i", designed for a euro cylinder.
  3. Bathroom lock: for WC or bathroom. Locks with a button, can be unlocked from outside in an emergency.

How do I know what type of lock I have in my door?

If your door is fitted with a lock integrated into the door thickness (which is the case for the majority of modern doors), simply look at the shape of the hole in the lock.

Which rosette should I choose according to my lock?

  1. Oval → bathroom lock rosette (L)
  2. Small letter "i" shape | cylinder → cylinder rosette (key i)
  3. Square spindle only, like the handle → bathroom lock rosette

When purchasing, do I need to worry about accessories (screws, spindles, squares)?

No, you just need to choose the quantity of pairs of handles and the rosettes you need. We take care of the rest!
