For the handle on a longitudinal plate, you will need to measure the centre distance or the length of the spindle.

Do not hesitate to seek advice from a DIY professional if you need to install a more complex door fitting, such as a cylinder lock, privacy lock or multi-point lock for an armoured door… To install a mortise lock (recessed), you will need to drill a hole in the door after carefully measuring the centre distance. For a surface-mounted lock, you should carefully follow the instructions provided in the fitting guide delivered with the product.
